Name: David Palmer
Title: worshipleader

David has been a worship leader most of his life. He is a singer, songwriter, performer, producer and sound engineer. He has served for the last 5 years as the Worship Arts Pastor at Foothills Community Church in Arvada, CO (a Willow Creek Church) with over 2200 members. David is the picture of excellence. He won't serve at a church unless the church values excellence, creativity, purposefulness and authenticity in the pursuit of lost, disenfranchised, and brokenhearted people for Christ.

From 1986 to 1994, David served as Facilities Manager and Worship Leader at Eastside Church under Doug Murren, in Kirkland Washington. With an attendance of over 4000 each weekend, David was able to hone his skills as a leader and a musician while learning under those above him. From there, he moved to another Willow Creek church, Timberlake Christian Fellowship in Redmond, WA. It was here his desire for excellence-in-worship grew and began to envelope his life and career.

David recently moved to Westminister Church in Westminsiter, CO and serves a congregation of 1400 as their Worship Arts Pastor.

The people Dave says he most understands are: Rob Bell, Andy Stanley, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Erwin McManus, Donald Miller, Dan Kimball, Craig Groeschel, John Eldredge, Douglas Copeland, J.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Mark Driscoll, Ed Stetzer, Leonard Sweet.

His education comes from Seattle Bible, life/church experiences, numerous regular jobs, The Holy Spirit and from being married with children. He's married to Erin. Has five children; Sean 20, Brianna 17, Austin 15, Madeline
12 and Olivia 8.

According to Dave, "I believe that the church exists primarily for the benefit of the lost."

Name: Jimmy Smith
Title: apfounder

Jimmy has been leading worship since the age of 16. From Catholic youth choirs to the most modern and contemporary worship, he has worked with all denominations and styles of worship. He describes his worship style as "unapologetically relevant to the unsaved."

After leading worship for Living Way Foursquare and Puyallup Foursquare churches in Seattle, Jimmy felt God calling him to use his talents to help multiple churches, and founded All Praise Ministries in Seattle, Washington in 1998. He later moved the ministry back to his home state of South Carolina in 2004.

All Praise is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping churches and worship teams get from where they are to where God wants them to be. All Praise serves as a consultancy to churches all over the world through the website allpraise.com.   The largest fundraising project of the ministry is the building of the All Praise Worship Centera state-of-the-art multi-church campus with retail, rental and convention services all in one place.

Jimmy's passion is helping worship leaders and pastors work together to pursue the lost through excellence and unwavering persistence.  He believes excellence is attainable by anyone who has been called to ministry and refuses to settle for anything less. When he speaks, people are shocked at the frankness and honesty of his message. But his compassion and desire to help others reach the lost in a relevant way is evidenced in everything he does and says.

People that inspire Jimmy: Jesus, Perry Noble, Rick Warren, Mark Driscoll, his wife and anyone who passionately pursues the calling of reaching the lost at all costs.

Jimmy is married to Amanda and lives in the Northeast area of Columbia, SC. They are the worship pastors at Dutch Fork Christian Church in Columbia, SC.

Name: Dave Bryan
Title: guestpastor

Dave Bryan has been the lead pastor at Dutch Fork Christian Church since November of 2003. After 21 years in a comfortable ministry in Ohio, God prompted Dave to get out of his easy chair and accept the challenge to lead a progressive diversified church in Irmo, SC. Even though Dave has been in the ministry many years he believes that the last few years has been the most courageous, making the changes that are necessary to bring God’s vision to a reality.

Dave is blessed with a wife, Kari Lu, who is his best friend, biggest cheerleader and critic when necessary. He has two grown daughters, Joy who is married and living in Tempe, Arizona and Laurel who just recently graduated from Ohio State. Also God, with his divine sense of humor, has blessed Dave and Kari Lu with a son, Pierce, who is five and gives Dave a lot of sermon illustrations.

Being from Ohio, he wears Buckeye clothing with pride. He loves the outdoors and tries to find opportunity to ride his bike, fish and hunt. If his son can join him, that makes the experience that much better. His greatest fear and passion is preaching and is grateful that God counts him worthy in this awesome responsibility

Sessions
Dave will be addressing a general session and speaking on the importance of a solid relationship between Worship Leader and Senior Pastor.  He will also be addressing the pastors in the Pastors Only Session with Jay Hardwick, Don Davis and Rodney Fouts.

Name: Amanda Smith
Title: session leader

Amanda Smith started her journey in Christianity in a "baptism-by-fire" sort of way.  Just 7 years ago, she was still living by her old ways and following Jesus Christ wasn't a very large blip on her radar screen. Oh sure, she had accepted Christ as her Savior, but not as Lord over her life. She took a lot of wrong turns on the road that leads to where she is today.

Longing for a fresh start, Amanda began her new journey with passion and completely turned her life over to Christ.  A couple of years and a whole new lifestyle later, she married Jimmy Smith, founder of All Praise Ministries.

Since that time, Amanda has been leading young women down a path differently than the one she took.  Her desire for every young woman to live a life of holiness has lead her to start various small groups for young women.  As a worship pastor's wife,  she also understands the challenges brought on by the demanding career of ministry.   Amanda immerses herself in literature that supports a lifestyle of worship and righteousness, while delivering messages of abstinence and self control to young ladies in Columbia, SC.

Amanda is a Mortgage Lender and Senior Account Executive with one of the largest banks in the world.  She also has her own jewelry retail company and works as the assistant shooter for a wedding photographer.  Each of these jobs allows her to be a Godly example to a wide variety of people, which she accepts and welcomes.

Amanda loves hanging out with her Godly girlfriends, traveling and especially likes the rare occasions she and Jimmy can spend an entire weekend together doing nothing.

Name: Don Davis
Title: guestpastor

A few years ago Don retired on his 30th Anniversary as Senior Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, South Carolina.  Trinity was the first "mega-church" developed in the Columbia area, and thanks largely to Don's commitment to the vision God gave him, Trinity still thrives today.

Don felt led to “rewire” his ministry in moving from one church to helping a number of churches in transition through preaching and working with the leadership. This change has also given him the time to work on his passion of encouraging pastors, especially young pastors through coaching.

Don and his wife, Marie have been married 42 years and have one daughter, Allison, and son-in-law, Stewart, plus a beautiful granddaughter, Ashley Marie, who is almost 3 years old.  All that Ashley has to say is, “Come on Poppi, let’s go,” and Don is off and running

Relationships have been a significant part of Don’s life and ministry…family, church family, and community relationships.  Growing in personal and congregational worship continues to be a vital part of his life and ministry.
